We employ various skip tracing tools to attempt to locate the customer. Skip tracing begins with an automatic comparison of the entire client file against the National Change of Address (NCOA) database. This process occurs before the initial letter is sent, and helps to minimize returned letters due to inactive mailing addresses.

We use a waterfall of skip tracing methodology that includes manual research, electronic sources, and batch processing from third-party databases in order to capture the most recent contact information available. When a customer is especially difficult to locate, our collectors perform additional, manual skip tracing activities on the account.

Skip tracing is a consistent part of our work strategy. Each day, every account goes through a skip tracing process to ensure each record has the most current contact information available. Our management team is continually researching and testing new tools and methods to enhance our skip tracing techniques.
